Girls Brigade



The Motto:

“Seek, Serve and Follow Christ”

The Aim:

To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility, to find true enrichment of life.


Girls’ Brigade Northern Ireland will be recognised as a dynamic, relevant, Christ-centred organisation effectively reaching out to all girls to value, nurture and equip them for life.


Our Girls Brigade Company welcomes all girls in the following age brackets:

Tinies: 3-5 years (Preschool-P1)

Explorers: 5-8 years (P2-P4)

Juniors: 8 – 11 years (P5-P7)

Seniors: 11-14 years (Year 8–Year 10)

Brigaders: 14 – 18 years (Year 11+)


We usually commence on the first Monday in September and run until Easter.

Tinies and Explorers meet on Monday from 4.30-6 pm

Juniors, Seniors and Brigaders meet on Monday from 7.15 – 8.45


Girls work for badges from the age of 5 years, under the following headings

Spiritual Learning from the Bible, learning about our Church and its activities and finding out about missions and missionaries, etc

Physical Team Games, Dance, Sports, Swimming, Drill etc

Service First Aid, Fire Safety, Helping Charities, Caring for Animals, Green Matters, etc

Educational Cookery, Arts and Crafts, Fashion, Health and Beauty, etc.

All girls may obtain an Attendance Award by good attendance at G.B. and also an Open Bible Award by attendance at Church or Sunday School.
